Today marks the start of the first mural sessions at the future 0S3 Youth Center, where youth from the 0S3 Reptilians Binational Youth Cycling Team and community members will participate in painting activities combined with learning experiences. Local artists Priscilla Nefftis and Gerardo Frias will lead these sessions in collaboration with Melissa Gallegos, 0S3 Program Director. This program was made possible thanks to the funding from the Arizona Commission on the Arts.
The initiative to create these murals at the 0S3 Youth Center is a testament to the collaborative efforts and financial support of organizations like the South32 Hermosa Project, among others. Their commitment aims to foster opportunities and enhance the quality of life in our community.
This project not only beautifies the center but also provides a creative outlet for youth and community members, reinforcing the center’s role as a hub for artistic expression and community engagement. We look forward to the positive impact these murals will have on our community.
